BUILT IN A
DORM ROOM.
BUILT FOR
THE TRADES.
Kap Hat Co. started the way most real things do: not in a boardroom, not with investors, and honestly, not even with a real business plan. Just a college kid with a work ethic, an idea, and enough delusion to make it happen.
FROM THE DORM TO OKC.
Carlos Alvarado grew up watching his father drive trucks for a living. Long hours, early mornings, zero complaints. That's where the work ethic came from. Not a book, not a class. A dad who showed up every day no matter what.
Carlos found his passion for the clothing industry while still in high school. After competing as a Division I wrestler in college, he decided to study marketing at OSU. Rather than waiting until graduation to start his business journey, Carlos looked for ways to earn money right away. He tried different approaches, including product flipping, sales training, and learning about what drives people to make purchases.
Kap Hat Co. was born in a college dorm room. The idea was simple: blue-collar workers deserve headwear that actually represents them. Not generic. Not mass-produced. Something built with the same work ethic they bring to every shift.
After starting Kap, Carlos moved to Oklahoma City to pursue this new opportunity. Today Kap serves clients across all industries nationwide with the same focus: Make it easy for businesses and brands to get high-quality, wearable gear at scale. No overcomplication. No wasted time. Just products that represent the people wearing them, and a system that actually works behind it.
Carlos graduated EMT school in the top 3 of his class in May 2025. Taking care of people isn't a value, it's a credential. That same standard applies to every Kap order.
